How do I get poses/expressions right for drawings you might ask? Well, my computer has "Photobooth" on it... I have hundreds of these kind of images. Anyone looking through my computer might think I was really into pictures of myself with strange arm gestures, but no, just drawing reference.
(the last photo is from when I was living in Montreal and may have gone a little "nuts")
I used to also use this program when I had no mirrors in my house (some strange project I guess) for some months to take a photo of the back of my hair when I was cutting it to make sure it was even. So useful.

I do the same kind of thing with my camera, but I just take a photo, then leave it on the playback setting. :)
oh wow i totally do the same thing! haha if i don't have a mirror i'll use it to apply my lippy. love photo booth =]
ps- you're gorgeous!
I have gone through your computer, and although i knew what all the photos were for, i still found it funny.
haha, i'm glad to know i'm not the only one who uses photobooth in such a way!
thankyou sarah! i really like it when artists demystify things, i'd never thought you used references for poses, but i knew you used references for your animals because e talked about it before.
Ha ha, I do the same thing too, just with my digital camera. So useful! :)
