How to make perfect brown rice...


Just learned this on the weekend (sorry for all the posts with no pictures recently!)

What you need: (makes enough for 2-3 people)

1 cup medium grain brown rice
1 1/2 cups of cold water

Instructions:

Put rice and cold water in a saucepan. Heat on high until the water in boiling, stirring about 2 times.

Put a lid on the pot, turn the heat down to a low simmer, and leave to cook for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, put about 1-2 tablespoons of water over the rice, turn off the heat, and wait another ten minutes.
