More About The Show!

Everything is now coming along quite nicely leading up to the "Lines on Paper and Other Things" exhibition which will be held at my apartment next Saturday. Thanks to Tim's excellent designing skills, and Sean's awesome drawing skills, we now have a flyer for the event.

You are invited!

If you want more information then go to the little blog thing for the show here. On it will be pictures of the work which will be shown, you can buy some if it after the show opening if is not sold (all art will be sold commission free - the artists will receive all money from art sales by the way, so things won't cost you as much as they usually do when galleries take 20-40% commission). If you are interested in getting a copy of the zine about all the artists in the show, send me an email, or better yet, turn up on the night.

I like

I like that nice people put my things on their blogs. Thankyou. Today I was featured on Indie Quarter, which has heaps of nice makers of things on it so it was great to be on it.

The books for the "Lines on Paper and Other Things" exhibition on July 5th are almost ready, the cover is always the hardest part for me to do though. Hopefully they will be completely ready be Friday as I have promised the artists they can have theirs by then. And then the show will be in a week! I hope everything will be organised by then. Oh I am so busy it scares me a little.

Exhibition!

I have been trying out a few new things this week, getting to drawings ready for the group exhibition "I Draw Pictures" at Nerve Gallery (43 Harrison Street, Oak Park, Illinois). I re-worked some of the drawings I had lying around under my desk, as well as making a few new drawings as well. I am so happy with them I think this has lead my drawing into a rather interesting direction (go to my Flickr to see the drawings in more detail, these pictures below don't really show very much).

The exhibition opens on the 27th and 28th of this month, and runs until the 8th of August, so if you happen to be around the area (Oak Park is about 10km out of Chicago) please make the trip (and if you're feeling really nice you could buy one of my drawings to help reimburse me for the $55 it cost to post my drawings there in the first place).

I promised more birds...

Lovebirds! I have only listed the set of birds on my Etsy shop so far (here they are), but I will have listed them singularly in a few days. Otherwise you can email me if you can't wait and want one or some. I somehow got a cold/flu thing which I am blaming my less than adequate photoshopping skills on by the way.
